This is really cool, and I'm totally amazed they show up on black paper! What kind of paper is it?
Great detail!

kacenace responds:

I bought this paper in a LIDL store. It´s recycled 270g Coloured card. I never had paper directly for colored pencils so it´s hard to say, if this one is good or not :D
I´m quite a newborn in this technic (if I won´t count my child artworks), but layering and mixing works pretty well. There is some paper texture showing thrue in the finished piece, so painting seems to be little bit darker and not so vibrant like I would expected. Well, maybe it´s not in paper, but in my hands ;)

Oh cool, this is great!
So this is a program on your computer? (With charcoal brushes?)
I think you nailed the lighting/shadows/etc

Troisnyx responds:

It is, and it's available for Mac as well. The charcoal brushes used to be a Pro version add-on and was locked behind a paywall. Not anymore, it isn't ^_^

I love all of your work so much.
This is awesome!

linda-mota responds:

THANK YOU! <3

So happy to see digital entries from you! What program and tablet are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

kacenace responds:

Course I don´t mind ;)
I use Photoshop CS6 and Wacom Cintiq 22HD. I don´t need that big machine, but I just wanted it.

What asshat didn't vote 5 for this????
Great work, perfect attention to detail as usual.
I love his face!

JohnnyUtah responds:

Thanks chief

I love Diamond and Silk. Their videos are great.

AdventVoice responds:

I know right!
When did you start following them?!
They always have a way of making me laugh at the world and enjoy the moments many would let fly by. They rarely let a single line get passed them., that they can't squeeze a punch line out of it.
Many say their views on the world matter little to anyone; So I decided rebels like them deserve a new banner!
They have a way of making the South just sound so good! (Thank you for tuning in, and supporting the project!)

This is my favorite one so far. :-)

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Thanks. :-)

This is the best damn creation on this website. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Spedmallet responds:

this is an abomination and you know it

Oh, I love this! Do you mind telling me what mediums you used, or the computer program? I am always trying to improve my artwork.
I think the clouds are my favorite in this piece.

CardboardKnife responds:

Hey, thanks; I'm glad you like it. I kind of agonized over those clouds longer than I should have. While I made this in PhotoShop, I'd recommend working with traditional media if you're trying to improve. It's not that traditional painting is inherently better than using a computer/ tablet, but it does force you to be more mindful of what you're doing and make deliberate choices.

I love it! What kind of ink, if you don't mind me asking?

SourCherryJack responds:

Speedball Brand Acrylic ink that was going bad (becoming gooey) that’s been watered down to get the values going. Though you can get very much the same effect from any reputable brand (FW is the top tier stuff) India ink would also work, but I think the hue is slightly warmer than acrylic based depending on brand. Just make sure the ink is indelible aka waterproof.

Found out treasures are always lost, Pleasures and rage combined,I'm watchin you
Be careful with your moves
